RELATIONSHIP REFLECTION

If anyone ever went through life without ever having some type of relationship with anyone this person has found the real meaning of being lonely. Having a relationship to me means sharing, caring, talking, respecting, loving, interacted and listening to someone. As I learned many people will come in your life for many reasons and so for just a season ( meaning only for a moment) but the thing to remember is that you had some kind of relationship with this person.

The two people I want to talk about that I have a great relationship with is my 1 year old son and my dog.
This is my only child that the good Lord blessed me with at the age of 40. I always thought I could not have children but I did. I have a great relationship with my son. My husband claim that I am smothering my son but I think I am just being a mom. My son is my reason for learning about early childhood.
This is my dog name Ohjay. When my husband bought him home he was on 6 weeks old but I was very angry because I never liked dogs. I was always scare of them in my childhood and adult life. I had refuse to have anything to do with this dog. The next month after getting this dog I had foot surgery so I was stuck at home with this dog. But as the days went by I would make breakfast and watch Monk every morning, this dog got into the same routine with me he would sit on the couch with me and I would feed him breakfast and he would lay his head on my lap and watch TV with me. I fell in love with this dog that it was me that trained him to used the bathroom outside. Never in my life thought I would have said I love a dog but I do he is excellent with my son. I have to protect the dog from my son cause my son always trying to hit the dog with all his toys.
I am a very down to heart person so that makes me easy to get alone with. I have several relationship of some source with many people. I have a good relationship with my family and my husband's family. We are pretty close and do many activities together. I have a great partnership with my co-worker especially the people that work in the same room as I. We work together great we respect each other and our main focus is the students. I never had any problem with neither of my co-workers.
The factors in developing a positive relationship:
  • Being yourself. If you are not being yourself eventually someone will recognize that you are trying to be someone you're not.
  • Communication. Not only do you have to communicate but you have to be a good listener.
  • Respect others as you would want them to respect you.
  • Stick to the being truthful. If you have to lie then you are not developing a positive relationship.
  • Be a positive person.

  1. I like what you say about being honest in your relationships. There are so many people who as the kids say are "want to bes". You can't have a relationship with a person that lies it just is not real, it is based on lies.

  2. You have a great definition of relationship based on family relations and how to communicate and be a good listener. I like the way you say respect others as you want them treat you with respect. This is what we teach in the classroom to our students to develop a positive relationship with one another.
