Even thought I only speak one language I do finding my self communicating differently. I have always based myself as being respectful and as I come across many groups and cultures I try to act accordingly. I must admit it never dawn on me that being respectful in one culture may mean being disrespectful with another culture.
I know I find myself communicating with the elderly people different now. I have a new respect for them.
I have found that using the Goldern rule works with communicating.
