You mentioned the NAEYC which is an organization I chose because they are helping the early childhood field in so many ways. One reason I chose them was due to their number of publications and research done on young children and the early childhood field. This is a website that I can use as a resource during my Life Skills class for homeless families. I like the organization Zero to Three because it reminds me of First Steps which ensures the child from birth to age three is developing accordingly and healthy and if not they provided resources for that child or children. I wanted to ask were there any services provided for young children with disabilities?
ReplyDeleteThe three organizations you chose i have went on their sites many times to research for different subjects. They are a great reference for us as educators. Tishae the Zero to Three has a article about providing children with disabilites here it is https://www.zerotothree.org/resources/83-making-hope-a-reality-early-intervention-for-infants-and-toddlers-with-disabilities
ReplyDeleteHi Trecy,
ReplyDeleteI also chose NAEYC and Zero to Three. There are so so many resources on NAEYC and one thing that I love about them is their dedication to improving early childhood programs. I also downloaded and printed their guidelines and goals for all early childhood programs and I try to use some of them in my classroom. I also used their website to locate NAEYC accredited in my state of MD for my daughter to attend.
Thanks
Kamilah
