OECD

·         The mission of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Is a unique organization I love the idea it is in Paris, France. This organization was started in 1961. OECD uses its wealth of information on a broad range of topics to help governments’ foster prosperity and fight poverty through economic growth and financial stability. We help ensure the environmental implications of economic and social development are taken into account.(OECD)

  2. Save the Children was also an organization that was appealing and not only from what I learned this course but what I have learned over the past two years earning my degree. Save the Children not only help young children get the education they need for maturing adults but they are also help with crisis all over the world. From the first time I researched Save the Children, they have been giving aide to children in international countries which is still barely enough. I do not know if any of you looked at the information and crisis going on in Yemen, but the children there are dying, starving, and getting killed in a war. Save the Children are striving for a ceasefire so that families and their children can get somewhere safe and where there is food. I think the OECD sounds like an inspiring organization because any policies that could positively impact the early childhood field is always appealing.

  3. Hi Trecy,
I also chose Save the Children and didn't have the time to explore all the job postings that they had, as their were many. I like the position for the Senior Specialist, Head Start Position. This position sounds right up my alley as I want to get out of the classroom and do more coaching and developing with early childhood practices. I wish they would post the pay along with their positions.

    Thanks
    Kamilah
